About Paul Mazerolle

Paul Mazerolle

At UNB, our people make this institution exceptional. The past four years have been a period of fast-paced transition and growth for our university. During this time, the UNB community came together to overcome the challenges created by COVID-19 and make progress on a new strategic vision for our university — UNB Toward 2030. Together we have grown our enrolment, balanced our budget and increased opportunities for our students through new programs and partnerships.

Every faculty, department, unit and group on our campuses have worked to advance our vision. From winning awards for our sustainability coordination and putting our words into action to move forward on our path to Truth and Reconciliation we are making progress.

With a shared desire to heighten the academic experience for all our students, we developed and implemented a new academic leadership structure and began to integrate administrative functions as we transition to one university.

I was honoured to be appointed for a second term (starting July 1, 2024) as the President and Vice-Chancellor of UNB. I am committed to continuing to invest in UNB’s people so they can grow professionally, and we can develop the future leaders of tomorrow. I know that universities can change the world and I am optimistic for what the future will bring for the university and the province where my academic journey began.

With kind regards,

Paul Mazerolle
President and Vice-Chancellor
