The project is partially funded by the Michael Smith Foundation for Health Research (MSFHR) through its grant of a Scholar Award (2015-2020) to Dr. Ziba Vaghri, Principal Investigator. In addition, in 2017, an MSFHR Reach Award was granted to GlobalChild and its partners, the Island Health Authority (IHA) and the Office of the Representative for Children and Youth of British Columbia (RCYBC).
The Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR) is the major funder of the GlobalChild project. In 2016, Dr. Ziba Vaghri and project members were granted the Project Scheme competition (2016-2021) by the CIHR.
The Island Health Authority of British Columbia has partially sponsored the Early Childhood Rights Indicators (ECRI) project through a Catalyst Grant (2015-2016).
