Using the biopsychosocial model of health, this course introduces you to health topics, such as disease, and lifestyle conditions, while highlighting the role our physical, psychological, and social environment we are in has on these health concerns. The topic of stress is presented as a common element of all these topics. Interventions, including mindfulness are taught as contemporary approaches to managing health conditions and stress management.

Prerequisite: Introductory Psychology 1013 and 1023 (6 ch)
Students have six months from the registration date to complete the course. All course exams and/or assignments must be completed by the designated end date.
The exam(s) for this course will be invigilated on an approved date using Respondus e-proctoring software (LockDown Browser). This is a free tool provided with this course; more information will be given once you have been registered.
