This course provides an overview of the concept of ‘corporate social responsibility’ (CSR), focusing on the economic, social and environmental impacts of business and the resulting challenges faced by sport and recreational organizations and their managers. Attention is given to the ever-increasing interplay between sport institutions and large corporations as well as non-governmental organizations (NGOs) for the delivery of CSR-related programs. The course is designed towards deepening students' understanding of CSR by taking a critical look at its origins and the theoretical approaches.

Prerequisite: Graduate Level Students or permission of the Instructor. Undergraduate students are not eligible.
Students have six months from the registration date to complete the course. All course exams and/or assignments must be completed by the designated end date.
The quizzes and final test in this course are non-invigilated assessments.
