
This interactive course empowers participants to preserve and share cultural narratives using accessible, no-cost, and cost platforms like Canva, Google Docs and PowerPoint.
Whether you’re capturing cultural traditions, family stories, or community histories, you’ll learn how to structure a meaningful narrative, design it visually, and share it with others.
No prior tech experience is needed—just a story to tell and a desire to keep culture alive.

Nina Savoie-Colwell was born and raised on the Acadian peninsula in a bilingual household. For over a decade she has taught conversational French, beginner and intermediate French, Acadian French, conversational English and ESL, as well as various types of art classes. She has had the pleasure of teaching for Le Collège Communautaire du Nouveau-Brunswick, the Anglophone South School District, the Centre for Learning Futures and privately.
Summer 2020, Nina discussed Acadian culture and history on CBC Radio Information Morning (SJ & Syndey) in an 8-week radio series promoting Acadian culture. An excerpt from her interview was also published in a history textbook for Nova Scotia elementary schools.
Nina also has a background in fine arts, animation and graphics, as well as office administration an undergrad in Business Management from UNB, and an MEd from Yorkville University. She is currently working on a research project on Acadians from across North America.
