Faculty of Arts
The Faculty of Arts sits at the heart of the University of New Brunswick Saint John.
We are the largest faculty, enrolling over half of all UNB Saint John students. Our four departments - history and politics, humanities & languages, psychology, and social sciences - cover a wide spectrum including economics, English, French, history, philosophy, political science, psychology, and sociology.
Understand an ever-changing world
A Bachelor of Arts degree gives you the keys to our ever-changing world. This is a degree that encourages you to think critically and creatively about the problems we face both here in New Brunswick and around the world.
The skills you develop in the Faculty of Arts will prepare you for a career in the knowledge-based economy, whether it is deconstructing an Alistair Macleod short story, analyzing the ethical dilemmas faced by high-performing athletes or theorizing about the impact of new media technologies on corporations and communities.
With such a wide range of knowledge and skills in research, analytical thinking and verbal and written communications, your arts degree will give you a strong start for wherever your career takes you.
