The UCard vending machine readers, as indicated in the last update yesterday, August 26th, are still unavailable, and services will be restored as part of the UNB Wireless replacement project.

Services that are currently unavailable, which should be brought back online tomorrow, August 27th are:
As part of the UNB Wi-Fi project, UCard vending machine readers on the Fredericton campus are not available right now in in buildings which have been migrated to the new UNB wireless. Buildings affected are: Bailey Hall, Carleton Hall, Facilities Management, Head Hall (New), Gillin Hall, Information Technology Centre (ITC), Keirstead Hall, Kinesiology, Ludlow Hall, McLaggan Hall, Old Head Hall, Singer Hall, Tilley Hall, Toole Hall. This service will be restored to these buildings as wireless configurations are updated.
As the ITS team restores services, we will update the UNB community.

The majority of UNB services are now available.
Our team is still working on some of the services being moved to the new firewall. Clients may notice some connectivity issues with a few services as the work is being completed.
We will update as services are completely restored.
Due to the unexpected degradation of UNB’s old firewall, ITS will be migrating UNB IT services to UNB’s new firewall on Sunday, Aug. 26 from 6 a.m. – 9 a.m. (three hours).
As a result, the following UNB services will be unavailable during this time:
No email or voicemail messages will be lost during the outage. All email and voicemail messages will be put in a queue and delivered when services are restored.
