Raise a Little HellStudents at Neill House during Orientation

Neill House is home to one of the biggest charitable events on campus. RALH, or Raise a Little Hell, as it is affectionately known, is a full-day event that begins before dawn. Residents gather in the study lounge to watch the sunrise; by afternoon they are raising a ruckus with their proud cheers.

At suppertime the Pie-a-Proctor Auction begins. Brave Proctors and Residence Leaders allow themselves to be auctioned off to raise money for the Neill House Charity. The highest bidder gets to–well, you can imagine the scene. It involves a lot of whipped cream and chocolate sauce.

A highlight of the day is watching members of the university community voluntarily shave their heads to raise money for the Canadian Cancer Society. The day ends with the celebratory Raise A Little Hell Social back at Neill House.
