This is your guide to all the relevant residence dates during your academic year. Check back here if you need a reminder!

2023-2024 academic year

Last day to apply for extended stay-more information will be sent to students in mid-winter term

Final examinations end. Students must vacate 24 hours after their final Fall Term but no later than the day after the final regular scheduled exam at noon

In 2023, Residence began a waitlist by the end of May. It is strongly reccomended that students complete the residence application before this date
Deadline for residence application fee: credits and scholarships on student accounts will not automatically be used to pay for the Residence Application Fee. Please inform UNB Financial Services if you wish to use an existing credit or if you submitted an online payment to UNB as these can take additional time to process
Payments received by UNB can be viewed through the tuition and fee statement in the myunb portal

Room assignments available-room assignments will be emailed to students' UNB email address only, please monitor regularly

July 15

Group leaders (coach, faculty, etc) must reach out to Residence to be added to the early arrival listing

Completed early arrival lists must be provided to Residence by group leader (coach, faculty, etc)

August 31

Move-in day for students new to residence (never lived in residence before). We encourage everyone to arrive between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. because Orientation activities for your residence house begin by 3 p.m. Our check-in desk will be open until 6 p.m. for later arrivals. You will be directed to a check-in location for your specific residence house

Move in day for returning residence students (have lived in UNB residence in a previous year) 9 a.m. and 2 p.m, we encourage everyone to arrive between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m but will be open until 6 p.m. for later arrivals

Last date to apply for Holiday Residence. There is an additional fee for those approved for Holiday Residence (Dec. 20-Jan. 7)
Deadline for residence applications for the winter term

Residence buildings close for the semester break at noon. All students are expected to vacate except for those approved for Holiday Residence

Residence buildings reopen starting at noon.
Move in day for students for winter term, for those required to check in please go to the Residence Administration building between 12 - 4 p.m.
