Calculating the costs
It’s important to understand the real costs of a university education — tuition and fees, living expenses and health and dental coverage.
Budget planning should also include resources that your student can contribute, either through savings, scholarship, loans or part-time work.
Reducing the costs
Here are just some of the ways to help finance your student’s education:
- Scholarships and awards. UNB offers guaranteed scholarships valued from between $500 to $1,500 for students with an admissions average of 80 per cent or higher. Some of our larger awards are worth as much as $60,000.
- UNB Special Bursary and short-term loans
- Co-op placements
- Work Experience such as part-time and summer employment and Work-Study programs
- Canada Student Loans
