No-degree application process

The Faculty of Education offers the option to take courses as a no-degree student strictly to individuals looking to complete the Principal Certificate.

Our courses are run specifically for MEd students and therefore space is limited. We do our best to accommodate these requests but cannot guarantee that space will be available.

Application deadlines

  • Fall courses: July 1
  • Winter courses: Nov. 1
  • Summer courses: March 1

Course maximum

No-Degree students can take a maximum of 3 courses, 9 credit hours. However, it is important to note that if students plan to apply for an MEd in the future, a request 2 courses maximum, 6 credit hours, can be transferred to the MEd program. Transfer credits are subject to approval by the Associate Dean.

Graduate No-Degree status does not grant unlimited access to take courses. Students will be accepted to take only the specific course(s) applied for.

Up to two courses can be requested at the time of application. It is the applicant’s responsibility to determine if the course(s) are available during the preferred semester by reviewing the timetable.

Application requirements

  • Transcripts from all post-secondary institutions attended (unofficial transcripts are acceptable for no-degree applications).
