Project Description

In New Brunswick, the Department of Post-Secondary Education, Training and Labour oversees a variety of training and skills development programs which aim to help individuals acquire the skills they need to get and keep jobs. This research project assesses the impact of labour market programs on population retention and mobility, including the percentage of trainees who stay in the province to work in their trade, the percentage of trainees who move out of province, characteristics of the differences between groups and mobility among population centres within the province.
