Dr. Ali McGill (BN’02) recently returned to UNB as a researcher and assistant professor in the Faculty of Nursing, and she’s thrilled to be working in a progressive, community-centred environment. Ali is studying how immigrants are accessing healthcare in our region and design a system that works.

New postdoctoral fellow joins UNB

The newest recipient of UNB's Purdy Crawford/Stephen Jarislowsky Postdoctoral Fellowship in Health Policy isn’t a nurse, or a nursing graduate. In fact, Dr. Vahid Salehi is an industrial and systems engineer. So how did he end up in UNB’s faculty of nursing? Dr. Ali McGill, an assistant professor of nursing at UNB and Salehi’s fellowship supervisor, is the piece that connects the dots.

Research Chair in Health Innovation Established in the UNB Faculty of Nursing

The University of New Brunswick (UNB) announced today the establishment of the Hon. Joan Kingston Research Chair in Health Innovation, supported by a $1.25 million dollar gift from the Hon. Joan Kingston Foundation. The Hon. Joan Kingston (BN’78) is a health advocate and was appointed to the Senate in 2023.
