Shelley Rinehart

About Shelley Rinehart

Dr. Shelley Rinehart is UNB’s acting vice provost learning & student experience. Prior to this role, she served as the inaugural associate vice provost learning futures, where she helped advance innovative teaching, online learning and future‑focused educational initiatives.

She has held several senior academic roles, including dean of the faculty of business, director of the MBA program at UNB’s Saint John campus and acting associate dean of graduate studies.

Dr. Rinehart is an experienced educator and researcher who has published in academic journals, presented her work in national and international forums and served on several editorial boards. She is a UNB Merit Award and President’s Medal recipient.

In addition to her academic contributions, Dr. Rinehart is a collaborative leader with a strong aptitude for problem solving, bringing a strategic and outcome‑driven perspective that remains grounded in supporting the people behind the work.
