Bursaries, grants and scholarships are wonderful resources to help you finance your post-secondary education. Not only will they add to your available funding, they provide money that does not need to be paid back.

Scholarships vs. bursaries

Scholarship and bursaries help students pay for their education, however, there is a difference between the two. Scholarships not only help with the funding of your education but recognize your academic accomplishments. Bursaries, on the other hand, are awarded primarily on financial need. They are meant to supplement your financial resources for university, not replace them.

At UNB, scholarship information for undergraduate students is available through the Undergraduate Awards Office and information for graduate students is available through the School of Graduate Studies

Bursaries at UNB are handled through the Financial Aid Office.
