Rise of Trump, the God Emperor-FR and SJ

Event Details:

This will be an informal talk focusing on the election of Trump against the corporate/media/academic establishment. We will explore the reasons behind Trump's success, and whether his election can be seen as a nationalist rebellion against globalism and the totalitarian ideologies dominating the Western world today. Ricardo Duchesne will talk for about 20 minutes, followed by some statements by a few graduate students, and then there will be open discussion. A short video of about five minutes with excerpts from one of Trump's major speeches will be shown.
