Health Research Priorities for Children and Youth with Complex Care Needs

Are you a child or youth with complex care needs? Are you a caregiver of a child or youth with complex care needs? Children/youth with complex care needs require significant additional health, social, and/or educational support beyond what is required by children/youth in general. If you answered yes to any of these questions, we want to hear from you! We are organizing focus groups to learn about your health research priorities to improve the care for children and youth with complex care needs and their caregivers in New Brunswick. If you are interested in taking part in a focus group contact us by email.

Health Research Priorities for Older Adults with Complex Care Needs

Child Bright READYorNOT TM Brain-Based Disability trial

Are you 15, 16, or 17 years old with Autism Spectrum Disorder, Cerebral Palsy, Epilepsy, Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder, or Spina Bifida? Are you starting to become more independent of taking charge of your own care? If so, you and your parent/caregiver may be interested in taking part in the Child Bright READYorNOT TM Brain-BasedDisability trial. The MyREADY Transition TM BBD App was designed to help youth prepare for health care transition. Health care transition refers to transition from the pediatric hospital, or children’s treatment center, to adult care. This study will tell us whether the app is beneficial to youth preparing for health care transition. Half of the study participants will use the app and the other half will not. There is an equal chance of being part of either group. If you are interested in learning more about this study, we encourage you to reach out. Please contact us by phone [506-653-2863] or email.
