The Centre for Musical Arts (CMA) offers a Music Minor and a variety of credit offerings to enhance the musical knowledge of students at UNB. Courses include traditional topics such as Music Theory and Music History, as well as more specialized classes like Music, Computers & Technology, Music & Cinema, and Conducting.

A full wind, brass, and percussion ensemble open to anyone who plays a band instrument. Improve your playing and make rich musical experiences with peers. No auditions are required to join, and instruments are available to rent. The group rehearses weekly on Tuesdays at 5:30 p.m. and performs a concert at the end of each semester.
The band welcomes all students, staff, and members of the community at large. It plays at fall convocation, end of term concerts, and in collaboration with the local community band. Some instruments are available for loan.
UNB Chorale activities start at 7 p.m. on Mondays throughout fall and winter semesters. All ensemble activities will take place at Memorial Hall, UNB Fredericton. Open to all chorale singers, this non-auditioned chamber choir is a combination of UNB students and staff together with professionals from the Fredericton area. Though beneficial, the ability to sight read is not essential for Chorale members.
The ensemble is free for UNB students and staff, and is $40 for community members. The ensemble meets weekly and performs a concert at the end of each semester.
The choir welcomes advanced and novice choral singers from students, faculty, staff, and the general public. The choir participates in concerts on campus, as well as other events in the community.
The Fredericton Symphony players under the baton of Richard Hornsby is a community orchestra, which welcomes students. It performs various concerts throughout the year. Rehearsals take place on Saturdays from 2 p.m. - 4:30 p.m. in room 23 of Memorial Hall.
