Term based credit courses have a credit value of 3 credit hours (ch) and typically include weekly scheduled learning activities or assignments through a web-based delivery mode, unless indicated differently. These courses must be completed within the term.
This course identifies general theories and strategies for oral, written and visual communications. Students will be expected to assess their skill levels in all three areas. Students may receive credit for ED 3113 or ADED 3113, but not both.
This course is an introduction to the writing of poetry and drama with a focus on basic technique, style, and form. It combines writing exercises and lectures on the elements of writing, but also introduces the workshop method by which students provide critiques of each other’s work and develop editorial skills. This course may include assigned readings.
This course covers real property and boundaries in Canadian law. Topics include estates in land, land granting and historical settlement patterns, land registration, systems and understanding boundary creation, managing uncertainties and misalignments of title and possession, dedication and survey of public roads and highways, and a focus on indigenous title.
This general interest course introduces the historical method while exploring the controversial theme of prohibition. It also examines both protagonists in the struggle: prohibitionists, whose ideology was rooted in evangelical religion and an early strain of feminism, and the "Rummies" who fought to preserve a recreational drinking culture and the economic opportunities that it made possible.
