Certificate in Project Management

Two smiling business professionals working together

According to the Project Management Institute (PMI®), "project management is the use of specific knowledge, skills, tools and techniques to deliver something of value to people."

Project managers work in all industries. Those with project management (PM) skills are in demand because of the trend toward an increasing number of projects and less operational work.

The Certificate in Project Management is designed with maximum flexibility for project managers who have different educational needs due to their work environment. It gives an ideal grounding for those who have plans to take a PMP® Preparation course to prepare for the Project Management Institute (PMI®), Project Management Professional (PMP®), or the Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM®) designation.

Anyone working on projects, be it as a project manager, project coordinator, contributor, subject matter expert or team member can benefit from this certificate because project management is a core competency.

The Certificate in Project Management is accredited by the Project Management Association of Canada (PMAC) as meeting their standards for quality and participants are eligible to write the Certified Project Coordinator (CPC) exam from PMAC.

In this certificate program, you will:

  • Learn project management tools and techniques
  • Develop organizational, planning, and interpersonal skills
  • Understand project success and increase your level of success on projects
  • Be able to deliver something of value to your organization and to your clients
  • Use best practices creating and managing budgets and schedules and managing risk

The delivery method is virtual with a live instructor. The instructors are skilled facilitators who use a variety of techniques to maintain engagement and optimize the learning environment.
