Welcome to Orientation 2013
We can't wait to meet you at Fall Orientation 2013. Whether you're joining us from high school, the working world or another stage in life we aim to make your transition as easy as possible. For friends and family of incoming students we have something for you as well. Here's what we know for now:
Residence and Community Orientation Saturday August 31
New students living in Residence will be moving in August 31 and have Orientation activities throughout the weekend. The Bookstore will be open 9am-4pm. Financial Services will be open 10am-2pm and Security will be available to make ID cards so whether you live on or off campus feel free to stop by.
Campus Orientation Tuesday September 3
Campus Orientation is a day full of events designed to welcome you to the UNB Saint John campus and make your first year as a UNBSJ student a great one. Check out the tentative schedule using the tab on the right.
Wednesday September 4
Wednesday morning the Math Placement Test will be held at 9am. Check with your advisor if you're unsure whether you need to write the test. Everyone will want to attend the big Shinerama event in uptown Saint John. Then head up to Grand Hall in the evening for an Hypnotic Evening starting at 7pm. Thursday September 5
Classes begin on Thursday September 5. Don't be late! Members of Student Service will be around campus wearing Ask Me buttons to answer questions or help if you get lost. In the evening the SRC are holding So You Think You Can Game in the gym.
Friday September 6
Once again Student Services members will be wearing their Ask Me buttons and available to help out. You will want to dress to impress at Casino Night at Grand Hall at 7pm, where you can bet on winning some fabulous prizes. Appetisers and mocktails will be served.
Saturday September 7
You won't want to miss Extreme Saturday with paint balling and Treego during the day and a BBQ in the evening. Sign up sheets will be available during the week.
Throughout September
International student orientation events will continue throughout the month of September.
