Information for International Families
Welcome!
Fredericton is a wonderful place to raise a family. It is safe, clean and has quality schools for children. Making arrangements for health care, accommodation, schools and daycares can be challenging. We hope the information in these links will help you get started.
When you arrive in Fredericton please check-in with the International Student Advisor's Office. We have a welcome package for you and are happy to meet with you to discuss topics that will ease your transition to Fredericton.
Documents
It is always a good idea to have documents translated in your home country - marriage certificates, drivers licence's, medical records (for existing conditions), children's school records, etc. It is not always easy to have these documents translated in Canada and it will likely save you time and money if you do it before you arrive.
Community Resources
The Multicultural Association of Fredericton has a number of community programs that are open to spouses and children of international students. Check their website for more details.
The Fredericton Regional Family Resource Centre has a number of programs for all families in Fredericton. Check out their website for more details.
