Faculty of Business Administration

If you're interested in gaining skills and experience that will serve you in any career you choose, then the Faculty of Business Administration is for you. Business is about having vision, being creative, solving problems, working with people, making plans, and seeing those plans come to life. It's also about helping people, businesses and organizations thrive.

Welcome to the Faculty of Business Administration at the University of New Brunswick in Fredericton. Our class sizes are small, which means our professors are able to get to know their students, assist them with their research projects and mentor them in their career choices. From traditional classroom lectures to hands-on learning experiences, our programs help students gain the academic credentials and practical skills they need to establish a rewarding career in business. Your dream career starts here.

It's never business as usual

The Faculty of Business Administration was established on the University of New Brunswick's Fredericton campus in 1951. By offering innovative and flexible programs to meet the demands of business, we have become the principle provider of business education in New Brunswick and are one of the leading business schools in Eastern Canada.

Our primary goal is to ensure that our students gain the knowledge and skills they need to succeed as business professionals. This means developing strong education programs for our students, with a lot of hands-on, entrepreneurial experiences built into their learning process.

Choose a business program that fits your needs

UNB Fredericton's Faculty of Business Administration offers two degree programs:

Through our strategic partnerships with agencies and organizations off campus we also offer a variety of unique experiential learning opportunities, including our flagship programs:

Earn while you learn

Our BBA Co-op program gives students the chance to gain meaningful work experience through paid work terms.

BBA students can enter the Co-op program in their second year. By testing the knowledge they have gained in the classroom in real time business situations they gain valuable employment skills that help them launch their careers when they graduate. They also earn money to help pay tuition and living costs.

Prepare for your career

Our MBA professional development program adds value to the MBA degree by bridging the gap between the classroom and the workplace. This weekly series of guest speakers, site visits, and seminars introduces MBA students to a variety of experts from various industries and professions. MBA students have the opportunity to make important contacts that help them find the right job in their chosen field and to learn how theory is applied in a real-world setting.

A leader in business education

A supportive environment for students and first-rate professors make our Faculty a leader of business education.

Our graduates have gone on to start up their own ventures and run their own companies; analyze the stock market and manage investment portfolios to help their clients prosper; study the market opportunities for new products and services and write business plans; run advertising campaigns; lead companies in their strategic planning so they will thrive in competitive markets; and develop quality control programs so that manufacturers and service providers can continue to improve.

ssociation for the Advancement of Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB)We are a member of the Association for the Advancement of Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB).
