Natasha Rego

Born and raised in Quispamsis, I ventured to Fredericton in 2009 to begin my undergraduate degree at UNB and (as cliché as it sounds) truly had the most incredible four years of my life. I met the best of friends in Joy Kidd residence and thoroughly enjoyed every second of my academic career.

When I graduated in 2013 with a BA in English, I knew I couldn’t stay away from UNB for long. One year later, after pursuing an Advanced Diploma in Public Relations at the Nova Scotia Community College, I moved home and joined the Alumni team on the Saint John campus. I have been fortunate enough to experience firsthand the beauty of both campuses and to take part in all the incredible things happening at UNB.

In my current position as Young Alumni Coordinator, I’ve been working to build a new engagement program for our young alumni constituency. As a young alumna myself, I am excited to be fostering connections amongst our young alumni and encouraging them to stay connected to UNB through the new U35 Young Alumni Network. Throughout my short time in the Alumni Office, I’ve met numerous alumni across the country who truly bleed red and black.

My focus includes coordinating U35 events in select cities, engaging with young alumni across various platforms and sharing their stories with the UNB community. One of my true passions is writing, so it has been both exciting and inspiring to feature stories of fellow UNB grads who are taking the world by storm.
