UNB Saint John's Bachelor of Applied Management in Accounting (BAMAC) program complements the practical and technical accounting experience gained through a college education with university-level studies in accounting.

Bachelor of Applied Management

The UNB Saint John Bachelor of Applied Management (BAM) degree programs offer college graduates the opportunity to continue their education at the university-level from a variety of college partners, and earn an undergraduate degree with only two more years (or four semesters) of study.

To qualify for this program, you must possess a two-year business diploma from a recognized community college, with a focus on accounting, and have achieved an overall average of at least 70 per cent.

Additional admission requirements depend upon whether you have completed all necessary foundation courses at your college.

Graduation requirements

To graduate with a BAMAC degree students must complete:

  • 12 compulsory courses
  • 1 accounting elective
  • 1 finance elective
  • 2 additional electives

Greater career opportunities

The BAMAC will qualify students for greater career opportunities or to pursue a professional accounting designation, such as the Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA).

As an added bonus, many of the courses required in the BAMAC are the same as the required courses for the CPA professional program.

Compulsory courses include

  • Mathematics
