A multidisciplinary approach to the history and cultures of Indigenous Peoples focusing on interactions with European settlers. Emphasizes the myriad challenges faced by First Nations, Métis and Inuit Peoples within the historicaly and contemporary contexts of European colonialism in North America. Focus is also on decolonization as it pertains to governance and territorial rights, health and community; and language and education.
