The Emera & NB Power Research Centre for Smart Grid Technologies is led by researchers from the University of New Brunswick’s Smart Grid Research Lab.
The team is housed in the UNB Faculty of Engineering and consists of world-renowned R&D personnel with expertise in power systems, power electronics, advanced controls, communications and signal processing, renewable energy conversion, distributed generation, and computer engineering.
The lab undertakes R&D in the early stage of the innovation cycle, and acts as a platform for developing new smart grid concepts, models and algorithms.
