Admissions overview

  • Application deadline is March 1. Applications will not be accepted after this date.
  • We recommend you apply early. Early applications are considered for first offers of admission and scholarships.
  • Applicants are only considered once their file is complete.
  • A number of places in the first-year class are kept open until all applications received by the final deadline have been processed.
  • Enrolment in first year is limited to 92 students.
  • Each year, the number of applications greatly exceed the 92 seats. The selection process is highly competitive in all admission categories and many qualified applicants are not selected for admission.
  • Admissions policies assist in ensuring consistency and fairness, but admission decisions are wholly within the discretion of the faculty through the Admissions Committee.

The Law School Admission Council (LSAC) has introduced the LSAT-Flex – an online remotely-proctored condensed version of the traditional LSAT – to address the COVID-19 challenges associated with traditional LSAT administration. When reviewing applications we will treat LSAT-Flex scores as comparable to traditional LSAT scores.

Apply to the UNB Faculty of Law as a first-year student or a visiting student.
