• Only awarded every 4 years or when a vacancy occurs.
• Candidate must be a Scot or of Scottish decent.
• Candidate must have exhibited successful academic performance.
• Pecuniary circumstances are to be taken into consideration.
• Appointee who fails to maintain a pass standing shall forfeit the scholarship.
