About us

The Teaching and Learning Centre (TLC) is dedicated to supporting teaching practices through:

Training and professional development: Seminars, workshops, and conferences; the Diploma in University Teaching; new faculty orientation; consultations and observations; and a mentoring program

Creating resources: Teaching Matters (a bi-annual publication devoted to teaching and learning at UNB Saint John) and other relevant materials

Promoting the scholarship of teaching and learning: We support research on learning enhancement and other teaching and learning issues

Encouraging teaching partnerships between departments, faculties, and institutions

Ensuring that teaching and learning are well represented through memberships on bi-campus committees such as the Senates Teaching Awards Committee, the Teaching Excellence and Policy Committee, the regional Association of Atlantic Universities Coordinating Committee on Faculty Development, and the national Society for Teaching and Learning in Higher Education and its Educational Developers Caucus.
