English classes for spouses
While your spouse is enrolled at UNB Saint John, this is a wonderful opportunity for you to learn English and immerse yourself in Canadian culture.
Saint John College offers international students three English-language training options to help them prepare for university study. The English for Academic Purposes (EAP), English-Second-Language Support (ESL), and Pre-MBA Programs which attract hundreds of students to UNB Saint John each year.
Saint John College also offers a Practical English Program (PEP) for new Canadians who want to improve their English language skills to assist them in living and working in Canada.
The PEP is a multi-level integrated English program for newcomers to Canada. The classes offer students the opportunity to study topics which will improve their English language skills and develop an understanding of Canadian culture. Classes are held at the uptown campus at 40 Charlotte Street.
International students and spouses are also encouraged to check with the Saint John Multicultural and Newcomers Resource Centre for English classes, chat sessions and other support services.
