Writing Lab
During the Fall semester of 2013 for writing assistance please use UNB's Fredericton Writing Center
Starting January 2014 the writing lab in Moncton will be available to help students improve their personal writing abilities through individual tutoring sessions that focus on academic assignments. Students can get help to understand the particular demands of formal, academic writing in English, including such topics as clarifying ideas, making an outline, developing a thesis statement, thinking critically, structuring an argument, proofreading, editing, and revising. The goal is to help students improve the clarity of their own thought and expression while correctly citing to minimize possibility of plagiarism.
- Writing assistance is available by appointment or dropping off material for editing.
- There is a three business day turn-around for dropped off material.
- Quick APA answers are provided on a first come first serve basis during office hours.
- Instructional sessions on writing, word processing, research skills, or RefWorks can be scheduled when a need is identified to the Writing Lab instructor.
