The Sodexo Foundation and Stop Hunger

Annually, Sodexo, through the Sodexo Foundation and with the support of our suppliers and the donated time of our staff, partners with local hunger relief organizations to provide lunches during the summer months for at risk children who are without the meal that is provided during school with a program called Feeding Our Future. Since it's inception in Canada in 2000, Feeding our Future has provided approximately 972,795 meals.
Stop Hunger is a Sodexo initiative and, as part of our Servathon, works towards helping those at risk in our community. Learn more about Hunger in Canada here.

Servathon
Each year, the Sodexo team and our customers at UNB take part in a month long program called Servathon which raises funds, collects non-perishable food items and donates time and talent to support local Food Banks and other hunger related charities. In our area, the Fredericton Food bank is our partner and, with the help and support of our customers received 3,900 lbs of non-perishable food items in the past three years! Local Christmas Family
Each year, the Sodexo staff at UNB organize support to bring Christmas to a family in need. Gift tags indicating items that are needed and appropriate sizes are placed on a Christmas tree and, thanks to the support of our customers and staff year after year, needed clothes and wanted toys are purchased for the family. In addition, the provisions for a Christmas Dinner are also included! Thank you for your continued support - we couldn't do it without you!
Feast in the Field

Feast in the Field is a yearly fund-raising event for Ability NB (formerly known as the Canadian Paraplegic Society). This premier culinary event is held in Officer’s Square and brings together food and beverage exhibitors with all proceeds raised going to Ability New Brunswick for services to individuals with mobility disabilities.

For the third year in a row, our Executive Chef Leanne English and the Sodexo team from UNB were proud to be a part of this great event in support of our community.
Chef English and her team presented an awesome menu of Carved Dilled Gravlax with Mustard Seed Sauce on a Buckwheat Blinis, Korean Bulgogi Cheesesteak Sandwich and for dessert Deconstructed Mini Goat Cheese Cheesecake with Honeyed Cranberries and Deconstructed Mini Pumpkin Maple Cheesecake with Pecan Toffee Crunch.
We look forward to next year and another opportunity to support Ability NB!
