SHINERAMA

  • Shinerama has been a UNB tradition for the last 41 years – UNB students have been raising money since 1973 to support Cystic Fibrosis Research in Canada. Shinerama is now Canada’s largest post-secondary school fundraiser with over 60 universities and college campuses taking part across the country. Last year we collectively raised over one million dollars. Since 1974, Shiners have raised more than 21.5 million by shining pairs of shoes, or by selling hamburgers and hot dogs.

  • Become a shiner today and be a part of our UNB tradition. You can shine shoes, wash cars, busk, make noise, do a dance, or buff a pair of skates or a bald head (get permission first). The possibilities are endless – no fundraising idea is too big, too small, or too outrageous (as long as we keep it safe). So grab a bunch of friends and come out to Shinerama!

  • Our day will start with a free breakfast while we run through the day’s activities and learn about Cystic Fibrosis.

  • BONUS: Anyone who helps out on Shine Day will get a wrist band that will give them free admission to the Student Union Kick-Off Concert later this evening.

  • Free for everyone who attended Shinerama, $5 cover at the door otherwise, this is a dry event hosted by your Student Union.
