International Internship Program (IIP)

2010-2011 CIDA IYIP and AUCC SFD Interns

Our International Internship Program began in 2005. The program was developed and implemented using funds administered by Association of Universities and Colleges of Canada's (AUCC SFD) and has since expanded to include the CIDA International Youth Internship Program (CIDA IYIP).  The funds for both programs are provided by the Government of Canada through the  Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA).

The program objective is to provide an opportunity for Canadian youth to live and work in Malawi while participating in real and relevant projects associated with land, governance, health education and community development.  The outcome of the project is to provide Canadian and Malawi youth with international experience, skills and knowledge that will prepare them for future employment in their field of expertise.

Since 2005, the Centre for Property Studies has provided over 30 funded internships to South Africa and Malawi involving students from 7 faculties and disciplines.
