H.A. EISELT
H. A. EISELT, Professor, joined the Faculty of Business Administration in 1986 and is a member of the Quantitative Methods Area. He teaches Quantitative Analysis and Location Theory in the BBA program and Production and Operations Management in the MBA program. Dr. Eiselt received the UNB Merit Award in 1991. He received the Faculty of Business Administration's Excellence in Research Award in 1998 and 2003 for outstanding performance across his career.
Dr. Eiselt is an Adjunct Professor with the Department of Industrial Engineering at Dalhousie University. He held positions Concordia University and the Chinese University of Hong Kong prior to joining the University of New Brunswick.
He is Associate Editor and Book Review Editor of INFOR. He is also a member of the Advisory or Editorial Boards of Computers & Operations Research, International Journal of Operations, Quantitative Management, and OR Spectrum.
His research interests include (competitive) location models, multi-criteria decision analysis, and alternate solution methods for linear programming. Much of his recent work has dealt with the location of landfills as an issue in waste management, the location of hubs, evaluation of the efficiency of hospitals, and mathematical measures of counterterrorism. Dr. Eiselt is the author or editor of nine monographs and has produced 96 refereed journal articles or book chapters. His research papers have been presented in conferences throughout the world. His findings have appeared in numerous outlets including: the Annals of Operations Research, Computational and Mathematical Organization Theory, Computers and Industrial Engineering, Computers & Operations Research, Environment and Planning, the European Journal of Operational Research, Information Processing Letters, International Transactions in Operations Research, the Journal of the Operational Research Society, Location Science, Mathematical Programming, the Mathematical Methods of Operations Research, Operations Research, and Socio-Economic Planning Sciences.
