Daniel F. Coleman

Daniel F. ColemanDANIEL F. COLEMAN, Professor joined the Faculty of Business Administration in 1986 and is a member of the Business Administration Area.

He currently serves as the Assistant Vice-President Fredericton, where he is responsible for international strategy and relations, and management of the Contract Academic Employees Collective Agreement.

He teaches Leadership and Applied Integrated Studies in the MBA program. He received the Faculty of Administration's Excellence in Teaching Award in 1996 and the UNBF MBA Society's Professor Recognition Award in 2004 and 2011.

Dr. Coleman has an extensive record of service with the Faculty and the University. He served as Assistant Dean (Undergraduate Programs) from 1989-1992, as Associate Dean from 1992-1995, and as Dean of the Faculty of Business Administration from 1999-2011. He is a member of the board of directors for the Fredericton Chamber of Commerce. He also has been an invited speaker or educator for organizations in the public and private sectors, including the Canadian Society for Medical and Laboratory Sciences, the Institute of Public Administration in Canada, the New Brunswick Department of Health and Community Services, and the New Brunswick Financial Management Institute.

Dr. Coleman's research interests are in leadership and motivation. His publications have appeared in: the Canadian Journal of Behavioral Sciences, the Canadian Journal of Administrative Studies, the Journal of Applied Psychology, and the Journal of Organizational Behaviour.
