J.D. Irving, Limited Introduces Accounting Incentive Award for Business Students  

Saint John, (NB): A third year UNB business student from Petitcodiac, New Brunswick was the first recipient of the J.D. Irving Accounting Incentive Award.  Jarvis Kelly received a $3,000 prize payable toward his education and a summer accounting intern position at RST/Sunbury in Saint John.

The Accounting Incentive Award is awarded annually to third year business students with a minimum Grade Point Average (GPA) of 3.0, and with plans to pursue an accounting designation.

Kelly is currently working toward a Bachelor of Business Degree with a concentration on Finance and a minor in Economics at the Fredericton Campus of the University of New Brunswick. He plans to pursue a Chartered Accountant designation.

The new Accounting Incentive Program is part of JDI’s longstanding commitment to grow the potential and build the skills of local university students.

In addition to receiving the incentive award and working with J.D. Irving, Limited over the summer,  Jarvis Kelly has accepted an offer to join the company as a Chartered Accounting Training Program employee upon successful completion of his degree program at the University of New Brunswick.
