NB Exporter-U Program
What it's all about
The NB Exporter-U Program is about gaining the knowledge and skills to develop and implement an export marketing strategy.
How it works
NB Exporter-U is a program designed to give students the opportunity to work with a team of people with the same goal; to export. Between UNB and UdeM, there are 34 students who are participating in the NB Exporter-U program. The program will match student teams with participating companies and provincial and federal government departments who will work together towards export growth for the companies.
Students will be given the opportunity to work with actual diagnostic tools and export development officers to develop and action plan for their company. This will be done through two academic components; the first being a formal class Export Market Entry, ADM 4535 or MBA (TBA), held in the fall semester. This course is designed to teach the students the skills they need to dissect the company and design an action plan for the companies export goals. The second academic component is a 3 CH internship, which would take place in the winter semester. The persons showing leadership abilities in the fall course will carry on with the same company and finalize the action plan for the company.
Sponsors of the program include Economic Development (The Province of New Brunswick), Learn Sphere (ACOA), and each client contributes a $2000 fee for admittance to the program.

In the winter term, you'll work with your partnering company to put those theories into practice.
The program wraps up with a presentation to your company, focusing on recommendations and giving advice on what to do to get the export plan into gear.
