Bridge the gap between the classroom and your future career

Every student in UNB Fredericton's MBA program will have the opportunity to start developing their career in their first year of the program. Through the professional development component of the program, students are exposed to experienced professionals and members of the business community each week to explore and discuss different topics related to business and career development.
The professional development course includes workshops, experiential exercises, field trips, and exposure to subject-matter experts, all designed to give students practical knowledge to complement their theoretical knowledge.
MBA graduates will normally work at middle to senior management levels throughout their careers. It is important that they develop skills to support them in their chosen careers that will promote either effectiveness within their organizations. The professional development courses introduce students to diverse settings to attain and develop various professional skills necessary to evaluate and participate in professional development practice.
Build your resume
The various MBA professional development seminars students participate in help build the kind of resumes employers look for: applications of theoretical knowledge to real business situations, the demonstrated knowledge of what it means to be a professional, and the ability to communicate effectively.
During the second year of UNB Fredericton's MBA program, students are given opportunities to participate in workshops designed to help them write professional resumes and job application letters, to prepare for employment interviews, and to help them make contact with employers.
