Business students at UNB Fredericton who would like to specialize their studies even more can take advantage of our unique experiential learning opportunities. The following options help students to bridge the gap between the classroom and the workplace by giving them the chance to test their knowledge in real world, real time work situations:
Earn while you learn! Our BBA Co-op program places over 100 students with more than 60 companies each year, providing well-paid work experience in their area of interest.
Invest in your future! For students interested in a career in finance, this program might be what they need to get the valuable knowledge and understanding that only hands-on experience can give them. This flagship program is offered to selected students who are entering their fourth year of the BBA program. This is one of only a few programs in North America that allows students to invest real money in bonds, stocks and other securities, and at the same time prepare them for the Chartered Financial Analyst Level One examination. Since the program began in 1998, students in this class have doubled the fund from $1 million to $2 million.
Learn about global markets! In our Export market Entry course, studies in entrepreneurship, marketing and international business come together when students work with companies in New Brunswick to plan and implement export strategies. During the year students work in teams to investigate the market potential for a company that wants to export their products or services. Then they write an export-marketing plan. In the spring, all this hard work culminates in a trade mission, where one student from each team is selected to join their partnering companies to learn firsthand how well their strategy works.

BBA with Concentration in Aviation and Operations Management
Great aviation careers begin at UNB! In cooperation with Capital Airways of Fredericton, UNB Fredericton offers a BBA with a Concentration in Aviation and Operations Management. This four-year degree program, offered in an accelerated three-year format, integrates commercial flight training with essential business and management skills, equipping pilots of the future with the skills they require.
