Are you interested in a career in business?

Get the solid academic credentials and the practical business skills you need to start a career in business or launch your own venture. UNB Fredericton's four year program involves a combination of required and elective business courses, as well as courses from various other disciplines on campus that teach students to think creatively, solve problems, take responsibility and communicate effectively - all the skills you need to start building the career of your dreams.

Benefits of our BBA program

When asked to identify the strengths of our program, students frequently respond by mentioning the quality of our professors, our small class sizes and our student support.

Our professors are regularly published in prestigious academic journals and have been recognized for their teaching and research, both nationally and internationally. They are dedicated to enhancing the learning environment through their role as mentors.

The seating capacity of our business courses are small compared to larger universities: class sizes range from 10 to 50. These small class sizes enable professors to get to know their students, guide their projects and provide special support.

Outside the classroom our academic advisors help students select the BBA courses and study paths to prepare them for their career choices. We have academic advisors in our Programs and Student Services office, as well as a Co-op Coordinator and part-time student advisors. These advisors are there to help students make the right choices and succeed in the business program.

All first year students participate in academic orientation during their first week of school, just before classes begin. During this time students get to meet their professors and classmates, and get familiar with life on campus. Most importantly, every first year student is paired with a peer mentor, a successful senior student, who meets with them during orientation and throughout the first year to mentor them on how to succeed academically. This includes everything from good study skills to planning their schedules.

Combine your studies with travel

Business in Canada is increasingly global; that's why gaining international experience as a student is not just fun, but a valuable learning experience. Students who want to see the world can take advantage of our international exchange opportunities.

UNB has exchange agreements with several institutions around the world, where students can take courses and earn credit towards their degree.

Information about our exchange programs can be viewed on the UNB International Relations Office website by clicking here.
