Meaghan Hepburn

Assistant Professor 

Meaghan Hepburn is an Assistant Professor of German in the Department of Culture and Language Studies at the University of New Brunswick.   Her work examines the memorialization of the National Socialist Aktion T4 euthanasia programme, in the mediums of literature, site museums, memorials, and art.  This interdisciplinary topic includes research in the fields of German Studies, History, Museum Studies, and Disability studies.  Other interests include second language acquisition, and she is the co-author of an intermediate German textbook based on the German TV series “Berlin, Berlin”.   Meaghan is an avid theatre fan, and co-founded and co-directed several productions of the University of Toronto German Drama Club for Undergraduate students.   She is also an enthusiastic traveller, and has lived in Germany and Austria for schooling and research, and also participated in a PAD teaching year in Springe and exchange to Universität Tübingen.
