To be awarded annually on the recommendation of the Department of History, to a graduate student who is undertaking research on the founders of a New Brunswick community. In making the award, preference will be given to students focusing on the founders of Monckton township. These funds are to support research in repositories beyond New Brunswick's borders and/or to facilitate and encourage collaboration with local historical societies or other groups dedicated to the study of local history.
