Information on the Coronavirus

Feb 13, 2020 - NB Health Emergency Operations Memo

Jan 30, 2020 - UNB takes any threat of communicable disease very seriously, and works closely with our provincial public health authorities when these situations occur.

UNB has not been advised by New Brunswick’s Public Health Office (Public Health) that any member of the UNB community is at risk or has been diagnosed with Coronavirus nor that any special precautionary measures need to be taken by UNB or the members of its community in response to the current situation.

The Public Health Agency of Canada has assessed the public health risk associated with Coronavirus in Wuhan, China as low for Canada and for Canadian travelers.

UNB takes direction and acts on advice from Public Health when it comes to managing communicable diseases.  This is their area of expertise.

We’re committed to keeping our community informed, so should any update from Public Health become available that is relevant to UNB, or should direction change, it will be shared with the community.
