To help you make your decision as a non-student, we've gathered as much information as we could about your options. From becoming a student to no-degree status and auditing courses, we've got you covered!
If you're interested in applying to become a full- or part-time UNB student, you will need to submit an application and pay an application fee. To learn more, at the following link, select whether you wish to apply to the undergraduate, graduate, or law program then follow the steps outlined on the website.
If you've never been to university, or are unsure if you're ready to commit to a full program, you can begin your studies as a "no-degree student". This allows you to take credit courses without acceptance into a program. The application process remains the same, but you would check off the "no-degree" option on the application form.
Once you have submitted an application and paid your admissions fee, you will be contacted by the UNB Admissions Office. They will tell you if additional documentation is required. If you have previously attended UNB, after submitting your application and paying the fee, please contact the UNB Admissions Office directly to avoid wait times.
If you attend another university and are planning to take credit courses at UNB Fredericton and want to have the credit applied to your program, you will require a letter of permission from your home university's registrar's office. Note: Registration cannot be completed until the letter of permission is received by UNB.

Interested in taking a course but don't need or want the credit? You can choose to audit a course. Auditing a course means you can attend class but will not receive credit for the course.
To audit a course, you will need to fill out the UNB student application form and pay the application fee. On the application form, simply check off the "audit" option. You MUST obtain written permission from the instructor beforehand.
NOTE: In courses with enrolment requirements or restrictions, priority is given to individuals taking the course as full fee-paying students.
