Kickstart your growth

Begin your CME journey by identifying key areas for development.

This tailored survey will help you determine your current management and leadership abilities and which courses are best suited to enhancing your skills.

MECA evaluates your current confidence level across the management competencies covered in the 18 CME courses. The results provide a global benchmark of your management skills.

After you finish the assessment, you get a printable report of your results, which will assist you in your course selection. Once you complete the certificate program, you can redo the assessment to measure your progress and support you in developing your future learning plan.

We suggest that you share your assessment results with your manager and/or HR. It is not uncommon for self-raters to under- or overestimate skill sets, so a third party who knows you can assist in uncovering blind spots. This tool can help align your professional development with your organization’s performance management framework.

The Hogan Personality Inventory (HPI) Assessment tool is used in the MGT 2000 course, Leading from Within. This tool measures how you behave in day-to-day life when you are at your best. This assessment raises your level of self-awareness by highlighting specific areas of strengths and weaknesses and offers suggestions to help you guide your career and become a better manager.

The Hogan Development Survey (HDS) tool is used in the MGT 2003 course, Leadership vs. Management. This tool measures 11 patterns of interpersonal behaviour that tend to appear when you are stressed, tired, or distracted so they can be better managed.

You can register for courses individually at $295 per course or opt for the entire certificate program for a total of $2,950.

Are there sponsorship opportunities for CME?

A sponsorship can take many forms. As an example you may be sponsored by your employer, a case manager through a retraining program, or through a third-party group such as WorkSafe.

In order to send a formal invoice to your sponsor, please have your sponsor complete this online Invoice Request Form or email a copy of your PO to our office at customerservice@unb.ca. The PO must have the following information:

Once you have completed your profile, you will receive a link to create your password. The link expires within 30 minutes.
