Students will be guided through the process of creating their own soundscape project. They will have opportunities to deepen their listening skills, record sounds from different environments, and then use an audio editing program to create a unique sound collage with mixing, splicing, and other effects.
This is a great way to create music even if you don't play an instrument. Additionally, students will gain knowledge about Canadian musicians working in the field of soundscape composition and acoustic ecology, as well as how this work can contribute to environmental activism.
All necessary materials provided by UNB, but students are welcome to bring their own laptops if they have them.
