Parent Resources for Music Camps

Find a camp that’s just right for you! Follow the link to the camp, where you can find more information on its dates, times, pricing, and location.

Once you have found the perfect camp, click the red "register now" button.

Once you click the red button, you will be directed to our online registration form, powered by Active. Please find the course you wish to register in and complete the registration process. Once you’ve completed the process, you will immediately receive an automated email confirmation. Our registration system lets you register and pay online easily!

Camps will be held on the UNB Fredericton Campus, either at Marshall d'Avary Hall or Memorial Hall. Please check the individual camp pages for exact room numbers.

First day


Every day

  • Lunch and snacks (no nut or shellfish products)
  • Refillable water bottle
  • Instrument and all necessary accessories (puck/rosin/mouthpieces/reeds)
  • Any required music
  • Sneakers and appropriate clothing
  • Sunscreen
  • Masks (2 or more)

Some camp-specific items (instrument, laptop, etc.) are required for different camps. These items are listed in each camp description. If you need to rent an instrument for camp (free of charge), please let us know in your registration form.

Please note that due to severe allergies, we cannot allow shellfish and nuts of any kind (including their products, such as peanut butter, etc.) at the camps. Thank you for your cooperation. Parents must inform staff if their child has any special dietary restrictions or health concerns.


Schedules will vary from camp to camp, but here is a general schedule:

  • 7:45 a.m. to 9 a.m. - Drop off
  • 9 a.m. - Instruction
  • 10:15 a.m. - Break (outside)
  • 10:30 a.m. - Instruction
  • 12 p.m. - Lunch
  • 1 p.m. - Instruction
  • 2:30 p.m. - Break (outside)
  • 3:45 p.m. - Instruction
  • 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. - Pick up

During summer 2022 camps, drop-off and pick-up will take place in front of either Memorial Hall or Marshall d"Avray Hall on the UNB Fredericton Campus. Camps run from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. with an hour lunch break, as well as a morning and afternoon break of approximately 15 minutes.

IMPORTANT: If there is any reason why you need to drop your child off earlier or pick them up later, WE MUST BE NOTIFIED BEFOREHAND, and we will try to make arrangements.

Drop-off time is between 7:45 a.m. - 9 a.m.

Our camp staff will meet you there to get your children signed in. Please allow for extra time at drop-off on the first day.

If you are running late or your child will not be attending camp on a certain day, please call 506-458-7259 and let us know. If you arrive late, please stay outside in the drop-off area and call 506-458-7259 and someone will come out to meet you.

Pick-up time for children is between 4 p.m. - 5 p.m.

Pick-up will occur at the same location as drop-off. Please make sure to sign your children out at the end of the day.

If you need to sign your children out early, call us at 506-458-7259 when you arrive and a staff member will bring them out to you.

There is a $10 late pick-up fee for any time after 5 p.m. (within the first 30 minutes) and $10 for every half hour after.


A limited number of scholarships are available for students in financial need. Parents wishing to obtain a scholarship should initially contact us on (506) 458-7259 or musicamp@unb.ca.

Masks will be required in all public indoor places on campus, in accordance with UNB's continued mask mandate for the summer. If the camper is attending Band Camp and playing a wind instrument, masks may be removed while playing.

There will be no sharing of food, water bottles, snacks, etc.


Operational policies


Participants wishing to withdraw from a music camp must do so in writing by emailing musicamp@unb.ca.

  • Refund requests made more than 3 weeks (21 days) before the camp start date are eligible for a full refund, minus a $50 administration fee.
  • Refund requests made 20 days or less before the camp start date are eligible for a 50% refund.
  • Withdrawal on the camp start date or after: no refunds except for medical reasons. All medical requests must be made in writing and be fully supported and documented by a practicing medical physician with the Medical Association.

Important: If public health restrictions are reinstated that prevent us from holding in-person camps, full refunds will be provided.
