Intensive EAP

With an English for academic purposes focus, these options offer maximum benefit to participants wishing to increase their English proficiency for study in university undergraduate and graduate programs. The Intensive English Term Format and the Intensive English Term Segment can equip you with the English language skills you need. The learning targets will improve your ability to write, read, problem solve, study independently, give presentations, and improve note-taking and critical thinking skills.

Intensive EAP options are offered Monday through Friday and offer exposure to various facilitators and a variety of classes targeted to prepare students for academic study. Virtual face-to-face classes are offered in the morning. Students can choose from an entire term or a segment of the term.

Why take an Intensive EAP program?

  • Full-time language studies incorporate class time, assignments, tutorials and advising delivered in a virtual learning format.
  • Classes will be scheduled in both virtual face-to-face classes and coursework that is guided and worked on independently.
  • Available for all language proficiency levels - beginner to advanced.
  • Specialized ELP curriculum in major components of language (speaking/pronunciation, listening, reading, writing) designed to improve students’ abilities to communicate effectively, efficiently, and spontaneously at a level appropriate to undergraduate/graduate study.

Dates

  • Summer Term Session: May 4 (registration) - June 30, 2022
  • Fall Term Session: September 7 (registration) - December 8, 2022
  • Winter Term Session: January 9 - April 7, 2023

Cost*

  • $5,860 per Term Session (includes $125 non-refundable application fee)

Dates

  • Fall Term Segment Session: September 7 (registration) - October 25, 2022
  • Winter Term Segment Session: January 9 - February 24, 2023

Cost*

  • $3,575 per Term Segment Session (includes $125 non-refundable application fee)

*All fees are in Canadian dollars and are subject to increase without notice. 30 days written notice of cancellation prior to course commencement is required before a refund is considered.
